This year the winners of the Arthur Lewis Trophy, the Club’s Open Mixed Triples Tournament, was Kearsney B.C. represented by Jean Gavin, Paul Cook & Doug Heaps winning all of their 3 games for 9 points. In 2nd place was another Kearsney team of Rosemary & Guy Peto with skip Roger Cook with 2 wins for 6 points & winning 19 ends, 3rd were Sharon McCaughan, John Libby & Daren Norris again on 6 points but just 16 ends won.

Opening Day

The new season got off to a great start with 35 members taking part in the traditional opening game of the season between the two teams led by our Captains. It was Sheila's team that came out on top with a winning total of 92 shots to Guy's team total of 82. Before the game Vanda won a bottle of Port in the "Spider" by getting her bowl nearest to the Jack. After the match members and friends enjoyed a communal tea in the clubhouse. Our thanks for all the hard work put in by members who have worked on the green and maintained the clubhouse during the winter months.
