Ladies County Triples

The Kearsney ladies triple of Freda Smith, Brenda Law and Sheila Swinerd secured a 19 shot to 16 over the Cheriton ladies (A Russell, C Goodall & S Todd) at Kearsney on Thursday 14 June and are now just one game away from a place in the Divisional quarter finals. Well done ladies.
Unbadged Singles (update)

Kearsney's Roger Gambrill bowed out of the Unbadged Singles losing to John Phoenix (Betteshanger) by 15 shots to 21. Graham Perrin was unsuccessful in his match against John Brown at Kearsney on Thursday 14th June going down by 15 shots to 21.

1 June 2018 Pat Thompson and Sheila Swinerd narrowly missed out to the pair from Boughton by 17 shots to 20. After three ends they were 5 - 1 down but rallied to 6 all by the 6th picking up a four to level the score. Another four on the eleventh saw them again level at 11 shots apiece, drawing ahead for the first time by one shot on the following end. Boughton ladies leveled the thirteenth and were three shots the better by the sixteenth. Successive two's on the next two ends saw the Kearsney pair one shot ahead by the eighteenth only to fail to score again, going down in the end by just three shots.

Kearsney's Keith Howe bowed out of this year's competition to A Carter (Tilmanstone) by 21 shots to 9. Fred Pontin lost to Rob Cullen 21 - 6. Malcolm Deakin could not quite make the next round losing to B. Duke 17 - 21. In a great tussle between two Kearsney bowlers Captain Graham Perrin just held off a tremendous challenge from 11 year old Tom Blackwell coming out winner by just one shot 21 - 20. Guy Peto was unsuccessful against strong competition from John Phoenix (Betteshanger) losing 7 - 21. John now meets Kearsney's Roger Gambrill (150) in the next round. Graham Perrin (156) will play John Brown.
